Very Cool!!! I like all the texture on the 1st one. The 2nd one is very artsy too. Where did you get your inspiration?

I get lucky every once in a while and take a good picture. :-)

My inspriation...it was a class I took to learn free motion, this was the pattern she was teaching. The flyer suggested planned colors or scrapy. I had never made a scrapy and picture of the quilt in flyer screamed scrapy to me even though the picture was a planned 3 colored quilt. My DH likes colorful things, so I went to one of our two fabric stores and bought a bunch of balik fat quarters and 10" squares. The layout was whatever we wanted to do. I really liked the free spirit of our instructor. She really enabled you. We played with the layout and this is what I came up with.

Thanks for all your nice comments. This is by far my most favorite quilt so far.
