Robert, you are asking me the name of what, exactly? Then fabric is Jinny Beyer (http://www.jinnybeyer.com/)... the pattern: I did an octagonal kaleido block, cut with plastic templates that I've cut and marked (I've marked the most important points of the fabric design, to be very acurate... all the quilt planning I made by my mind, fighting against the exactly (almost lack) of fabric amount! LOL really....
I found the border prints and found one I really like. I've made a kalidescope with some African ladies dancing and it turned out great, but I can't wait to do the border print WOW, your's is SPECTACULAR. How much fabric did you order? Sorry for all the questions.

I'll jump in here for our BrazilianChica! ....
RFBrazell ... when doing an 8 point Kaleido, you need eight repeats of the fabric. A OBW is 6 points, so six repeats. Likewise 4 for 4PP. So how much depends on your repeat length.

A pattern repeat of atleast 12" works best. 24" repeat will give you a lot more variation on your results. And if you want it bigger and more kaleidos, in each case, you just buy multiples.

My OBW was a 12" repeat. I used about 1-2/3 repeats and the finished size is 41"x67". Here, have a peak!!!

Your quilt just gives me the most tranquil feeling! It's wonderful, my favorite color is blue so I really love it!
