    I don't have a long arm, but for a first attempt at FMQ, I think that it looks fine! A simple design on a simple quilt would seem ( to me at least) a great way to start and I like the result.

    It looks wonderful, great choice for that quilt. You will build up muscle memory for finer and finer motion with each quilt.

    Thanks everyone. You all encourage me. I have been quilting for many, many years, but this is the first attempt on my CJ. I purchased it last week and attended a MQ camp at the dealers for the weekend. We played but not enough to develop any skills. It's going to take a long time before I can actually say I am satisfied with my work. I think the most difficult part is choosing the right design for your quilt.

    Great quilt and i absolutely love that quilt design. I've used it often on my domestic machine.
