Default My First Machine Quilted Attempt

I finally got my new Babylock Crown Jewel II up and running. This is my first attempt at free hand quilting. I will need LOTS of practice. I love the way the machine handles, but it will take time to actually learn the art of machine quilting. I used my Accuquilt to cut all the squares. Now I have 2 large sewing rooms. This room is dedicated for the CJ and is loaded with light during the day. I just wish it had a hardwood floor instead of carpeting.

Looks good to me. I like colors of your quilt. I don't every gravitate to colors that are different then "bright". lol So, I sure do appreciate your pretty quilt. And I just adore simple patchwork. I guess it just speaks to my soul. I'm a better then average piecer. But, I really stink at actual quilting. So, I think it looks great.

I love the classic style of this quilt and the quilting. Practice makes perfect and you are well on your way!

You inspire me! I got my CJ a year ago and after the trauma of carrying all the parts upstairs and putting all together, including robotics, I just haven't used it at all. (all by myself). This past weekend I had some time so did play a bit. Now I have a practice quilt loaded and ready to go. I don't think I will be so good at it though. Yours is beautiful! How much practice did you do first to get that good? That is a beautiful quilt.
