Maybe this isn't where I should ask the question, but if you are sewing hexagons, are you working on inset seams, or are you sewing three of the triangles together and then, using a design wall, setting them in strips for final stages of putting it together?

I just love it!! :thumbup: You have done an awesome job making your OBW. I am trying to get brave enough to start one myself. Thank you for sharing your project & giving us all the confidence we need to be so brave!!

To omak....you don't actually sew the hexagons together. You fist make "half hexagons" Once you sew all the halves together you start laying them out in rows, so there is no inset seam. There is alot to the placement, looking, moving, organizing the color. I put mine on the back of a vinyl tablecloth and waited until I was sure of the placement...even now there are a few I would tweak if it wasn't sewn together. Taking a photo of it helps also, identifies those "sore thumb" blocks!
