Just absolutely stunning. Maybe one day I'll get up the nerve to try one.

I got a book on how to make this and it says don't wash your fabrics first, and unfortunately I had already washed most
of my fabrics. Just wondering if it would work out very well using washed fabrics.
I wash ALL my fabrics before cutting. This is for two reasons: because I'm scared it will shrink unevenly and because I also make medieval costumes and always wash clothing fabric to shrink it. That way, all the fabrics in my collection are prewashed/shrunk and I don't have to wonder. I like to use spray starch to keep the fabrics stiffer while cutting.

I love OBSs, and yours is gorgeous! I hope you have enough of the original fabric to put on the back or use as a border.
