You're right, that is quite a challenge for a first quilt! I made a storm at sea for none of my first quilts, it turned out nice, but I know there were lots of mistakes in it. Yours is beautiful! and the receiver will really love it!

All I can say is WOW!!!! I never would have tackled that pattern even today is is tooooo far advanced for me. Beautiful job. Thanks for showing it to us as you progress. hugs to both you and your sister.

Absolutly crazy start to something but it is amazing how beautiful it is. I would love to be near your sister when she opens her gift! Just about everything after this will be easy. LOL

I'm a beginner and haven't posted anything although I've finished 3 You are amazing! You must be naturally patient and artistic. Beautiful work. Will be looking for the finished masterpiece! Just wonderful!

You're kidding with us, right? No WAY this is your first quilt! It is absolutely gorgeous. From now on you can say "I was able to do this, so hard can it (fill in the blank) be?!? POST MORE PICTURES!!
