Very ambitions first effort, but it looks like you're up to the challenge. It will be a labor of love and I'm sure your sister will cherish it. Please keep us posted on your progress.

congrats on what you have completed so far! its going to be stunning!
I must agree with this. I am impressed that you would start with a quilt of this size and difficulty. It is already stunning and you aren't done with it yet.

Great job--I'm afraid at my house, it would have been a UFO when I started putting the first diamonds together....

I've been quilting for 5 years and I would never attempt something like this. You go girl, you're doing great!

You are doing a wonderful job!!!!! I have to tell you the first classes I ever took, the teachers told us, we would be doing very hard blocks, because she said" When you get done taking these classes, you will be able to tackle anything. And these were classes for beginners. She was so right! I have never had a problem making a quilt since then.

WOW ! I have to really admire you for jumping right in & tackle what would not be considered a beginners quilt. But, it is really a great way to learn. Keep up the great work.

If you're having such wonderful success with this your first quilt, I can't imagine what you'll do to top it. Great job on a very challenging pattern.

It is going to be gorgeous. I can't believe it is your first quilt. You should have seen my first, second and more quilts. They sure didn't look as good as yours. It looks like an expert did it.
