It is finally done! I started this quilt last fall, and since then have had the cat knock it over and pee on a corner, a heart attack, uterine cancer and a hysterectomy. I finally had the energy to finish it this week! :) I am pretty happy with it for a first try. I tend to jump into the deep end when I do things. Next one I may send out to be quilted as I just don't have the space.
    Thanks for looking! :D

Well...like I said, Susie, I tend to dive into the deep end when I start new projects. *blush*laugh* I didn't know any better before I started! *laugh* I love the 8 pointed star design and the symbolism behind it in so many different cultures just grabbed me. So I made up my mind to do it! *laugh* I would not have been able to do it without Jan Krentz's DVD. I highly recommend it!
And there is a reason that there isn't a closeup picture of the actual quilting...*sigh*

I had been admiring your avatar and now to see the finished results. It's almost like a celebration quilt for you ... and now onwards to more quilts, and continued improved health!

You have me curious about the cultural symbolism of the 8-pointed stars. Care to Share? Please? and Thanks!

I was just thinking ... if this was your first.
What challenge are you going to put yourself to, for your second quilt? :)
