I just love first quilts and would love to know what you were thinking when you chose something so complicated?! You should be very proud of yourself! Hope this year finds you without the drama of last year. They say when it rains it pours and that was true for you, but I'm glad to know you are on the mend.

You ARE a survivor! Bless your heart.

Your quilt turned out lovely. I still have not attempted to make this pattern, you are my hero for making it your 1st quilt, finishing it and dealing with all of your health issues.

(I am an ovarian cancer survivor 12 yrs, melanoma survivor 10 yrs.)

You are a very brave and strong women to tackle this on on your first try and then to complete it after all you have been through. My hat is off to you and hope you make many many many quilts.

Holy Cow. You sure didn't start with something simple. If you can do that as a first I can't imagine what you will come up with for a second. Good job, it's a beauty. I've made over 50 quilts and I haven't tackled THE STAR yet.
