Default My First Quilt (Rag Quilt)

I finished up my first real "quilt" over the weekend. It's a rag quilt for my MIL and it's a way of us telling her how proud of her we are for fighting so hard to overcome cancer. We found a year and a half ago that she has cancer in her jaw. She's had four major surgeries to remove it (resulting in the partial removal of her lower jaw), chemo, and radiation. She's a fighter and we're so very proud of her. Her birthday is May 5th and with Mother's Day right around the corner, Hubby and I thought it would be an awesome gift!

I made it out of flannel for the front and back with no batting in between. I think it's the perfect weight and it ragged beautifully! I did blocks with the awareness ribbons from a design I found on Etsy and the rest of them are from Embroidery Library.

    Thanks for looking

Beautiful! My family loves raggedy edge quilts, they are so soft and wonderful to wrap up in!
