This is the first quilt top I pieced. It however is the second one I finished as I was side tracked making one for my mother last Christmas. I don't have room in my small bedroom to take pictures of my quilt, so My sister let me use hers. Her bed is a King and mine is a queen. I wanted it more like a bedspread.

Very pretty. Love Log Cabins. I made one that looks like that one. I did it in browns also. It is at the quilters right now. It is going to be a Christmas Present.

the log cabin scares me. can't wrap my lil brain around trying to sew the end of a strip and the side of the strip at the same time. I know-I'm scaring the folks from the boom 5 swap now. they are wondering, "If she can't do a log cabin, what mess is she creating with my fabric?" I'll buy a log cabin book.

yours is fabulous. love your colors

My very first quilt was a log cabin as well. Great pattern to start out with. Very nice quilt, I especially like the borders.

Really nice work! The first bed quilt I started was a log cabin .... before I finished it, I had done a couple of others! But, I do love the patterns you can get with log cabin blocks.

I wouldn't ever have thought that this was your first!
