I bought this book years ago because one day I wanted to learn to quilt. Name of book "Weekend Log Cabin Quilts" by Marti Michell. It is book three og the "Quilting for People Who Don't have time to Quilt" series. Hope this will help. You make the center square then just keeping going around with the backing and the batting sewing them together. Then you attach all the squares together.

    Hope this helps

Very nice job on your first quilt. I love the fabric you chose and the back is also very nice.
