You did a great job. I like the 9 patch and have made about 12 of them. There are 101 different way to do them. Use your imagination and have fun with them. The sky is the limit. Can't wait to see it quilted.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments and words of encouragment. I wish I woul have tried quilting yrs ago. I make things for the grandaughters, doll clothes, stuffed animals, all sorts of things for yrs. But just now found quilting is an obsession! I do wish I would have done butterscotch for all the sashing, but live and learn...I am doing the outside border in the same white and hopefully that will tie it in well and have a very wonderful patterned red for my binding. I am waiting on the appropriate foot for my machine to arrive for the quilting part, which I am going to attempt myself also!

Your quilt is great! I love all of the colors you used. This was a great choice for your first quilt -- no triangles and not too much seam matching -- good for you.

Here's some advice from a fellow quilter: Make a very simple quilting plan. You can always add complexity later. But if you start off doing complex quilting on one square, you have to do it on all of them! Ask me how long it took me to figure that out!

Good luck!
