It looks entirely cuddly and fun, Mamacandoit! And I think you have some darling fans of your first quilt there who obviously love their snuggle. I predict this will be one of the most fun and best-loved quilts you will ever make! Kudos!

Listen, that is a quilt. Stop with the 'too small to be called a real quilt.' It IS a real quilt and it's just gorgeous. Your family loves it and you learned some things, so it's all win-win-win!! You've got a great future as a quilter ahead of you. PS. Quilts come in all sizes from miniatures to king.

The picture says it all. They could care less about the binding. Like you said, the next one will be better, and the one after that, better still. We all grow at our own pace. Great Job!

What do you mean it's too small to be a real quilt? Have you not seen the postcard and smaller size quilts? A quilt doesn't have to be big at all. Some placemats and potholders are quilted. It's a beautiful quilt and they look very comfy under it.

That is an awesome first quilt. All us long time quilters started out exactly where you are today. Keep having fun and learning lots.

Curves on your first quilt! What a great job! The kids seem very happy and you should be too! Congrats!

I like to think of my mistakes as building a wealth of knowledge. At the rate I'm going, I'll retire very rich. Your quilt is serving its purpose well. Look at the happy faces!

Oh and it is not too small to be considered a real quilt. It has three layers sandwiched together . Quilts can be mini or king or any size in between. I make doll quilts all the time.

Looks like a success to me! A loved quilt is a good quilt. No one knows the mistakes but you so, don't tell.
