This is my very first quilt. I call it Travelling Footballs. I gave it to my brother 3 years late. It's called that b/c he goes to all the World Cups and Euro Cups that he can - he's there now. it's a flannel/denim rag quilt. The rags ended up being only a quarter inch. I bound it - binding through only two layers I found difficult so I need more practice on that and on mitring the binding. Oh, and on lining up the squares - not all are connected right. And I learned the benefits of prewashing - this one was washed after it was all done and it's a bit puckered and the denim ran a bit.

He loved it - I gave it to him on May 2. I have another one in mind for him already - he's a musician so it'll be a bargello pattern with a music theme... that one will be better.

DreamXer, it's fabulous! I don't see any problems with those corners either. Don't forget the 35 mph rule - hang it on the porch & drive by at 35 mph - if you can't see the problem then....there's NO PROBLEM, only "design choices" and "artist's perogatives"! :D :D :D

Well done...you didnt make it easy for yourself working with denim on your first quilt....I bet it made your fingers painful, stitching the binding on, this is a fantastic first quilt, its great :D :D

Nice quilt and I am sure your brother loves it. Love what zyx says - I will do that to all my quilts!! Except our speed limit here on the beach is only 25 MPH. Will that work?

They are Rhode Island Red crossed with Columbian Rock. They have the gentleness of the RI Red, but the hardiness of the Columbian Rock, They get cold in winter but they're okay, and they're not aggressive at all.
