    This is the very first quilt that I have made. It was this years Christmas present for my MIL and her new husband. Her favorite color is blue.

    I named it "Shades of Blue". The idea came from Crazy Mom Quilts blog and her quilt is called "Ragged Squares Quilt". I think a queen size quilt was a big choice for my first quilt but I did it!!!

    I forgot to add that in the picture I have the binding sewn on just not turned over yet. My husband was flying the next morning to see his mom and I didn't have time to finish the binding. She was more then happy to do that part. She loved it so much she cried when I spoke with her about her finishing it.

    Beautiful and you did a great job. Hard to believe it was your first, looks like you mastered everything. Great job and always good to make someone happy.

    I love it. Nice selection of blues and a great job piecing. I'm also working on a quilt for my Mom who loves blue. Hope it turns out as nice as yours.
