I bought a sewing machine in Jan., and these are my first quilts. All for grandchildren . . . I used a newbie quilter, also.

I feel hooked, but I have so far to go. I look at the beautiful quilts on here, and I know I will never get to that; I'm starting at age 60!

Great work for firsts. You're never too old, go for it.

Who says you can't be as good as the next best quilter? I think you're of to an excellent start! I wouldn't think to do embroidery designs in open spaces like that and you did a great job. You're selling yourself short. The grand-kids are going to love their new quilts! :thumbup"

I had a fairly new quilter do that; I don't know how she did it.

All I did was piece the tops. The quilter did the rest.

these are great! and 60 is definitely not too late to start and still become the quilter you want to be.
