Hopefully showing the front and back of the heart quilt made for my first daughter. I appliqued different size hearts randomly on the back.

I especially love your stairway to cat heaven quilt. Thank you for the pattern name, I will certainly add this to my to do list.

Were the cats difficult to applique? I am a little intimidated by the cats.

I used the sticky paper (sorry I can't recall the product name), ironed the material to it, then traced the pattern on the paper side, then cut it and peeled it so that the sticky side was placed appropriately on the stairs. Then I machine stitched a blanket stitch around each total cat. I had never done that before and it was quite easy. I'm sure you wouldn't have any trouble with it. I went real slow as I stitched along. All the directions are on the product. Good Luck !
