Beautiful quilts that don't look like they were done by a beginner. Did you applique the ducks?

Thank you all so much. When I did the purple one I had no idea how much material to buy so I went to Joann's over and over and over again. Then I knew nothing about strip quilting and cut out 2 inch blocks and sewed them one at a time. lol took me forEVER. I did not machine quilt the purple or the sampler. I did applique and quilt the ducks. Again thanks so much for the compliments. I have seen so many wonderful things on this site I can't wait to do them all.

Wow! I'm particularly impressed by the purple one. Let's just say your first quilts turned out a lot better than mine. :)

And I did the same thing on my second quilt, pieced a million little pieces on a design that could have easily been strip pieced. I didn't realize until my MIL looked at it and said "Oh, it's strip pieced."
