A beautiful quilt. I love the way you did the corners on your borders.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments! So many of you have commented and a few have asked about the borders. It's not my own design and it's all pieced with a lot of "Y" seams, no applique.

I saw it in a recent quilt magazine add for a particular fabric line. I can't remember the mag or fabric line, but it was within the past few months. I like borders that are different, so this caught my eye and I drafted it. It's done using 1.5 inch strips and the final size is 8" square.

I've scanned the Excel printout that I used when making the corner blocks with my notes about construction. If any of you are truly interested, I'll be doing another one in the next few weeks and can take pictures and upload a tutorial.

I started with the small sections in the middle to make unit H, then added the I, J, and K strips.

The I sewed the D, E, and F units, sewed them together and added to the first unit.

Added strip L

Sewed the A, B, C, and G units together and added to the center unit.

Finally, I added the M, and N strips.

There may be a better way to piece this, but this is what worked for me.

Sewed A, added B, added C, added, G.

On the next, I'll weave the orange over the inside green knot
