Thanks all for your nice comments.
The first one took me about two weeks stitching around 1.5 hours a night. The flamingo took me a night (around 4 hours), since one I started I could not stop myself. I loved the way it was coming out and wanted to see it finished. The Bluebird took about 2 hours.

WOW! Those are terrific! I do have a thing for flamingos! And the bluebird is our state bird here in Missouri! And I love how you went outside the box! Great work! And on a regular machine! :lol:

Oh my goodness... I have the kit for that Butterfly Kisses quilt! lol I keep looking at it and thinking I must get it done, it's soooo beautiful. And you're right, it just doesn't photograph well. I have yet to see a good shot of it. I bought the kit because I saw the quilt made up in real life, it's stunning, beautiful rich colours and depth. You've done a gorgeous job on it, well done!! :D
