Yes, I layer a batting square between the two layers of flannel and sew an X on it to hold the 3 layers together. Then I sew the blocks all together with a 1" seam, and snip the fringe afterwards.

That's beautiful, Dizzy! I bet both of my daughters would fight over something like that! Who's the lucky person in your house that gets to use it?

Thanks for posting the pics of the scissors, my husband bought me the spring loaded snips (Fiskars) they worked a treat too.

we take turns my daughter wants one an with the jeans she has given me in the last four yrs i think theres even enough to do three more of them.but son will more than likely get this one when he moves out.since i cut up his favorite jeans in the making of this one.

I do love it, Eddie. How tall are you? Just curious, when ppl make the laps 60" long, I always think somebody's toes are going to get cold. good job :XD:
