my "fraternal twins" .....
... birthed out of the 2.5" scrap box.
I started to make a dark top, it was planned to be made with 12,5" squares, and had the 35 scrappy blocks made with one row around the center 2.5" square, and realized I didn't have enough long strips to finish, which meant a trip into the big scrap box. But before that I needed a break and was looking at pictures while I had a cup of coffee. And guess what I found! Last week I saw a gal (sry, I forgot her name) that posted her version of a top by Jeanne S -- never could find Jeanne's quilt -- but I borrowed the pix from the quilt posted last week, and made the dark top. Liked it so much I made it in light scraps, one for a girl and one for a boy. Ergo: fraternal twins!
Thanks for looking.
