But the brat was wrong- it's been years since I finished it lolol
I bought a top in an antique store once that was a basket design with embroidered flowers in the basket. It was probably 1930's or40's. It was set together with the brightes bubble gum pink squares you ever did see. I finished it, hand quilted, and it is very pretty. I love the old quilts. I didn't change anything in it and the original quilter must be pleased because I've had no "hauntings".

That is a beautiful quilt and will be well worth the time needed to restore it!

How lucky some of you are with your garage sale finds! I haven't been quite so lucky but sure enjoy seeing what everyone else is finding. Happy re-novating your new quilt top...project or not, it'll be well worth your effort.

Love it. You were lucky to snatch that up. Don't you wish the fabrics could talk? Def. worth trying to repair & quilt.

This thread reminds me of the time I left a stack of flour sacks (or feed sacks) on a table at a flea market. They were something like 3 dollar a piece. By the time we got home, I had already regretted my lack of good judgment. You were wise to grab it. It'll be so much fun telling about it and seeing what you've done with it.
