Oh so beautiful, awesome work. I have made baby quilts for my grandchildren for when they have their first child I might not be around. Well one has 3 now, another expecting 7 Aug 2012 and the other one not married yet. I also gave it to them to have for the blessed event.

Beautiful quilt. I try to think ahead and get stuff made for the different seasons and holidays, but it never works for me. To much going on.

Beautiful quilt and I think a great idea. As one QBer said, we never know what life holds and it is always good to be prepared. They will cherish that you thought ahead. And how great it will be to be in the excitement of the festivities and not worrying about finishing a quilt!

OCD or not! Join the club!! LOL!! I think that is one of the best ideas I've heard yet! My granddaughters are 16, 15, 14, and 7.... maybe I can have their quilts made by the time they are married! BTW... your quilt is beautiful!

Beautiful quilt
I am doing the same thing for my 3 grandchildren.
And, thanks to the suggestion of a friend, am making a quilt for each of their first born.
Hadn't yet pick a pattern for the baby quilts - then I saw chairjogger's RailFence with Pinwheels posted on the Board.
She very generously shared the instructions, I bought the fabric and now they are in the works.
