Oh to be 11 again! My grandfather was a great influence on my foray into hand crafts - he taught me knitting, crocheting and sewing... my mom did the same... thank goodness family genes for this sort of thing get passed on....

Wow! Super talented little gal there. A natural. It's going to be a fun quilt and let us know how she does in the fair.

Oh! This so makes me wish that my granddaughters lived closer. I live in southern Idaho and they live in North Pole, Alaska. It is not fair!!!!
    You are very lucky!

Oh my word! An 11 year old did that? She is very talented. She has done a wonderful job. She will win a ribbon for sure. You are a lucky grandma to have a granddaughter to quilt with.

This one was a picture of one of my GD's in NC over the Christmas holiday last year. I took two boxes of fabric and my machine and four of them made doll quilts. I am trying to post the pictures. This one with the cows is Malia. The other is her sister Sarah. The one with the star is Emily and the blond is her sister Hannah. They all designed their own quilts and did a guilt as you go. It was an exciting few days while each girl had to wait her turn.

These are wonderful! If she's 11 now, I can't imagine what she'll be creating in a few years!!! Hope she gets it finished in time for the Fair.
