    Dear gdd, GOOD FOR YOU!
You have done a great job making your birdhouses!
I have a question...are you planning to add birds?
There are some fabrics out there that are full of birds, that you can cut out and sew onto your blocks. You can find butterflies that you can cut out and sew onto your blooks too. ....and there are embroidered butterflies that come in packages in some fabric stores - like Hancocks.
For flowers and leaves, you can design your own!
To think about a flower, to make one, cut out and it sew petal by petal. To make stems get a package of narrow green or brown binding and sew that on first.
And do you know what? they make ladybug buttons you can sew on!
All this is lots of fun too!
If you can't find the birds and buterflies PM me.

That is amazing! Her blocks are beautiful, and what a wonderful thing to teach her. Great job, grandma. :-)

She is doing a great job. She takes after her grandmother when it comes to quilting.
