Default My hexagon mini "art' work journey.

Hi there,

Two weeks ago my mother an I went to a workshop to make a hexagon flower ring. We went to the workshop with the idea it was on de sewing machine. I was shocked. I have never did any hand sewing. But we went anyway.

The morning went by and I put some hexagons together. My mother learned me quick how to sew by hand.
This was my first attempt. We have learned at the workshop to look at the fabric. You can make beautiful pedals using the pattern of the fabric.

I went home and continued making the flowers. I was addicted. I used jeansfabric as background. Underneed the fabric is a peace of polysterene to pin the pieces easily.

It grew and grew..

Yesterday I found a piece of canvas (normally used for painting). I put my flowers on the canvas and loved it. The colours are more bright.

Today I sewed the last flowers together. Know I am thinking to add some beading. But the beading lies in my parents house so I have to wait.

This was my journey of the last two weeks.

Your flowers on the canvas look like a piece of art, beautiful! You will have to find the perfect place to hang your wall art.

Hand piecing is so relaxing. I just got a copy of Jinny Beyers hand piecing manual and read it in one evening.

Love, Love those fabrics. What line are they from? Gorgeous!

The fabrics are mostly from a jellyroll from freedom fabrics. The greens are from the store I followed the workshop. I dont know which brand it is. And the bright pink I dyed myself.
