Love your work. This is a great idea for some Southwestern flowers that I need to put on an upcoming challenge quilt.

Your hexie flower art piece is just absolutely beautiful. The fabrics you used have just enough visual dimension to make your flowers just perfect. I am glad that you liked doing the handwork. Everyone needs something 'portable' to carry with them for 'just waiting' times.

The morning went by and I put some hexagons together. My mother learned me quick how to sew by hand.
This was my first attempt. We have learned at the workshop to look at the fabric. You can make beautiful pedals using the pattern of the fabric.

I went home and continued making the flowers. I was addicted. I used jeansfabric as background. Underneed the fabric is a peace of polysterene to pin the pieces easily.

It grew and grew..

Yesterday I found a piece of canvas (normally used for painting). I put my flowers on the canvas and loved it. The colours are more bright.

Today I sewed the last flowers together. Know I am thinking to add some beading. But the beading lies in my parents house so I have to wait.

This was my journey of the last two weeks.

Megan
your flowers are absolutely beautiful! I love English Paper Piecing and have made many flowers, none have compared to the beautiful ones you created. I look forward to seeing your next hexi project.
