my humble stash,,,

You have a nice variety in colors, the only thing I would suggest is to add a wider variety of prints and patterns, like florals, stripes, plaids, larger prints, geometric prints, etc. As for the yardage, it depends on your circumstances (how much you can store, move with you, etc.) and what size and type of quilts you like to make and what you can afford. For me, I love scrappy quilts and I had limited funds so I bought 1 yard pieces or even half yard pieces. I decided I would rather have a large selection of small amounts of fabrics instead of a small quantity of larger pieces. Although when I saw a fabric that I just fell in love with or a wonderful border fabric, I'd buy 3 yards. And when I came across muslin for 21 cents a yard, I took all they had!!

You have a great stash. I usually buy fat quarter bundles, that way I get a piece of everything in the collection, love aunt grace and civil war fabric. When I see something I can't live without, I usually buy 3 yards. Keep up the good work :)

You have some beautiful colors & a good start on your "stash". I'm sure your space is limited with being in a medical barracks, so right now less is more! It takes time to build up a stash like some of the pics that have been posted. Nothing happens overnight, unless we hit the lottery, right?
