Thank you all for you comments. I'm a new quilter and was a little intimidated to post my pics. I think I do ok considering i just started a yr ago. Anyway this is a bday gift for my sister. I've not made a quilt for myself yet, I've given them away as gifts. so I bought fabric and the next 2 quilts will be for ME...A king and queen size quilt, which will take me awhile to complete.

Your quilt is so pretty!! I love the yellows, so cheerful! You are right, a king and a queen will take a while but you can do it!! What pattern are you going to use for them?

I have been sitting here for a few minutes studying your quilt. I have never seen one like it. I like the way you have sashed your blocks and the borders. I don't think I have seen the color combination before and it really drew me in. I was drawn to the fabrics you used and the design also. I like it very much and you did a wonderful job.

thank you very much, that is really sweet of you. I am doing a DP9 for the king and not sure yet for the queen. It will have to be pretty simple and easy http://www.quiltingboard.com/compose...picnum=113417# b/c I'm afraid to tackle anything very tedious. I really love doing all of it by hand. I just can't make myself sit at my sewing machine.
