This is a triple irish chain quilt top I just finished piecing it together. It has 1,603 pieces! I wanted to finish it to take with me on a two week vacation where I plan to hand quilt it. I will take more picture when it's all finished. This is my 6th quilting project....so obviously I'm still a beginner, so don't mind the imperfections.

I love everything about it! Your color choices are lovely and your points lined up perfectly. Wish I could do it...can't ever get my points lined up like that.

Beautiful work. I would love to learn to hand quilt. How do you keep all of the layers from shifting while you are moving around on vacation.

How long did it take to piece together 1603 pieces? I can't put together a puzzle with 500 pieces. It's beautiful!

I'd have never guessed you're a beginner by looking at that. It's super nice.

I always hand bast it together. It seems to work well for me. I love the hand quilting part, it relaxes me. My back gives out after being at the sewing machine too long.
