The B2Q pattern looks great and it seems like it would be great charity quilt pattern. I'll have to look it up. Thanks for posting. I love them!

What does BQ2 mean? Your quilts are beautiful and I know the nursery rhyme quilt will be treasured by the recipient. You are doing good work and I applaud your effort. Thanks for sharing.

I have no idea what the BQ means. That's just the name of the pattern. It's one of the easiest and quickest patterns I've done. I can do a top in a day and I'm not a fast sewer. It's a great pattern for big prints. The pattern comes with yardage suggestions for crib to queen size. I don't think it lists king but you could just add another row or two of blocks to make it KS.

That nursery rhyme quilt sings to my heart. I am a retired first grade teacher. Too bad I wasn't quilting while I was working. Yikes! Could we have had some fun!!! I did go back years later and worked with fifth grade classes. They did redwork embroidery. The first year, the topic was colonial days (culminating activity for a social studies unit) and the second year was a science activity. They designed flowers and did the redwork. Another year the fifth graders did crayon quilt blocks and made pillows. Thanks for bringing me back in time. Your DQ2 is also awesome. I'll have to do some research on that one. It looks like something I'd like to do.

What a great lessons you are teaching your students - not only the artwork, but the sharing with others is an even better lesson! Clearly, it's a way of life for you - bravo!
