There is a organization called HappyCrafters.Net that will finish your quilt tops at a reduced price and the quilting is not bad. You could contact them and then maybe donate your quilts to the people in Texas?

Love your quilt! Add me to the list of people who like the design and piecing but by the time that's done I'm bored with the quilt and have to force myself to finish it. I finally finished quilting a top that's been sitting next to my machine for at least 3 months - now all I need to do is bind it. I forced myself to not start my next one until this one is done, but because of my own edict I haven't sewn in at least a month. Procrastination is my middle name.

I'm the same way...love the piecing, not so much the sandwiching and quilting. This one is beautiful and will be just gorgeous when finished. Just go for it and get 'er done. Easier said than done, I do know that, but when it's done, you'll be proud and any "mistakes" won't show to anyone else. Show us when done!

What a striking quilt...the black grounds all those little pieces and gives it life! You are not alone...last fall I got as far as pairing batting, backing, and top...those 5 quilts are still waiting to be quilted! It takes more space to quilt so moving the machine to my dining room table is a drawback for me.

Thank you all for the encouraging comments! I see I am far from alone in the finishing process. I guess where all the UFOs come from! I do intend to machine quilt all of my unfinished quilts starting with this one. I may take nativetexan's advice and use another quilt top as a back and kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
