My little girl sewed today
#73
My 15 yr. old GS has Asberger's Syndrom so I'm very much aware of j ust how monumental today was for her and the fact that she came to you when she was ready to face her fears was wonderful. Your daughter knows how much she's loved by you and has total trust in you to help her conquer her mountains.
God Bless you both,
Andie :D :D :D

This was a huge obstacle she overcame and did a wonderful job at it. You both should be proud!
Here's to more sewing and reaching the top of more mountains.

Bless her precious heart. I know this was a very proud moment for you, as well as her. She will get so much enjoyment out of the pillow since she made it herself. Maybe this is the beginning of your sewing/quilting times together. God Bless you both!

I know about autism and the different fears they live with. I have a friend with a son who has autism. He is afraid of clouds and rain. Tina is building a school for children with autism and Asperger's. Joey is now in middle school and there is no place for him. He functions at a high level so he doesn't fit in life skills, but not high enough for mainstream. So, yes, I know what a milestone this is for both you and your daughter.
