Awesome! The fabrics are luscious! I really like all of the space you are leaving open for FMQ too :D:D:D

Well it's more of a technique - these should really be individually drawn by the creator, it's a little bit the idea of them. I thought of posting my progress step by step though so that others could try it if they liked. If you can draw with a ruler and compasses, do applique and FMQ you can make one - you could even do embroidery if you didn't want to FMQ. It's a kind of make it up as you go along thing. I have no idea how this will turn out - it might not even work, it's just an idea I had. But that is what makes it fun. :-D What's the worse that could happen? I waste a bit of fabric! Not the end of the world. :-D
Great start!

I can see it would be best for me to begin with a larger scale design to get the hang of it. You are very inspirational to step outside of any box one might find themselves in. LOL! :-D

I hoped that the sight of some mouth-watering batiks might spur you on, Nancy.

Oh yes, I don't like boxes - too claustraphobic!

Thanks amma - I'm already planning the FMQ in my head as I work. :-D

That is just gorgeous! I'm guessing it will be paper pieced as I see no other way to do it! Would love to have that pattern! Excellent job! Can't wait to see the finished quilt. I'll bet it will be breath-taking!
