Yes, they're great for cutting because I don't have to bend over, it's good for my back, and it doesn't wobble or anything.

You might want to get rid of that carpet! My sewing room was a spare bedroom. I ripped up the carpet and had the beautiful hardwood underneath redone. BEST decision.
