    Amazing what a few cuts here and there can do. Truly a beautiful quilt. Glad you have the before and after pictures.

    wow! beautiful transformation! to make it warmer...when i used curly minkee (is that what you meant about the purple eyelash stuff?) i also used warm & natural batting, worked out great held the backing (which is a little slippery) i also made one with dream wool batting, that is my favorite quilt, it is on the bed summer and winter...it is warm, but breaths we do not 'sweat' under it.
    i LOVE the transformation you made and this gives me some hope. i have a king size quilt all finished and bound for over a year now...and i am just unhappy with it, keep thinking about cutting it apart and re-making part of it...seeing someone do this... :thumbup:

    this transformation is awesome. You would NEVER recognize that these fabrics are the same pieces. Hope your mother likes it much better and that she is feeling much stronger.
