This is so beautiful....you are blessed to have something made by your Mom.
I have many many beautiful silk ties.......I go by Goodwill every couple of weeks and buy a few to add to my growing collection. I am seriously considering making a quilt like your Mom's.......it's really outstanding!

Great quilt.
I asked my pastor not long ago if he would keep his old ties for me instead of getting rid of them and he said, "I never get rid of my ties. I must have aroune 200 and some are 30 years old or more. I keep everyone. Wouldn't think of getting rid of them." Can you immagine some of the designs he must have? Wish I could get my hands on them and make a beautiful quilt like this one.
