I'm so happy to hear that you are reaching the point that you are comfortable bringing out your mom's things. I became a widow 3 years ago, and have realized that it will be a while before I'm able to listen to certain music, or go to certain restaurants, or do certain things that we used to do together. Each year, it gets a little better. You give me hope.

Its beautiful. Now that you are on the board, bite the bullet, you can do it. Ask all the questions you need to, and you will get all the help you can use. Enjoy and soon you will be making quilts just as beautiful as that one.

Loosing one's Mother is difficult...mine passed away in 1998 and there isn't a day goes by that I don't think about her. The quilt is beautiful, the colours are vibrant. I don't believe I have ever seen that type of butterfly pattern. You are very lucky to have such a special momento of your mom.
