This why I quilt. To leave behind a legacy for my children of beauty I have created with my own hands. You are so fortunate to have, in pictorial form, the love your mother has for you. Because "love is eternal" you know.

That is the same butterfly pattern we used among others in our church bicentennial quilt 2003, we were probably looking for patterns and making the quilt around the same time your mother was! Our Butterfly is batik too! It's nice to know that someone else likes that pattern, I haven't seen any others.

Sorry the quilt is turned on its side! there's the butterfly in the lower right hand corner. The butterfly is a symbol of resurrection - the other resurrection block is second from right on the top row, The Empty Tomb, one that I did. 14 of us worked on it, it was pure bliss!

Beautiful quilt what a wonderful memory of your mom, I would never take it down either. I bet when you walk by it you always have to touch it I know I would.

What a beautiful quilt and a quilt to dream of the many memories with your mom.
