What a lovely table and so well thought out! Would love something like that but haven't the space. I'm sure you'll be whizzing along making one quilt after another in no time at all! Best wishes!

I hope you have many years to enjoy your father and your "sewing center".
As i was reading your message i started tearing up, not sure why but so glad that i could share a piece of my dad and his one of his many talents with everyone. And you are so right it isnt "just" a sewing table i have been racking my brain for the right name and i really like the idea of "sewing center." Thank you :-D

A big hug to your Dad for making this for you. I bet we all have a Dad or DH who was this much of a craftsman.

and i am now sharing those tears with you as i read this..i'm so sorry for your loss...I have met very few men like my dad, i think they are very scarce..at least i cant seem to find me one..(lol), but so happy that you had a dad like mine..Cancer sucks! we have lost quite a few relatives from it. I consider myself very lucky to even know my dad he had Hodgkins disease when i was 1 and that was 31 yrs ago and knowing that the technology wasnt what it is today it certainly is a miracle. I cherish him with all my heart and so do my children! God bless and much love!

Wow this is an awesome table. I have a 4x8 table in my room with a shelve on one end. I LOVE the pull out ironing board your dad made you. That is just the neatest idea ever. Your dad is definitely a good carpenter for sure, his work is beautiful!

Thats what I thought...they look like the old chicken boxes. I love it! When I sold antiques, those old chinken boxes would sell like crazy!
Your dad is a treasure! He does fantastic work..I love your new table! I too will showing my hubby! Did he make the drawers himself too? That is alot of work. I am hoping my hubby can make one similar, but probably with cabinets that are already made.
Chirstmas blessings to your family and your Daddy!
I will see if i get a better pic of the shelves on...i designed and once again he built! They mainly hold my fat quarters as i dont usually have alot of yardage. You prob cant tell but the inside of each cubby slants so its easier to see the fabric in the back! Yes he made everything himself! I threw the ironing board in there and told him it was no biggie if he couldnt figure it out but i didnt really doubt him for a minute!! He's so special!
Thank you! Hope you all have a safe and joyful Christmas!
