Had to put quilting aside for a few weeks as a new grandchild took over my heart strings! In keeping with tradition, each grandchild has a birth sampler in their room. The main part was finished a while ago, I was just waiting for the date of birth. Now that the sampler is complete, it will be framed and then sent to Willow for her room.

that is so cute, and a lot of work! I know, I did one for two grands, and dated them like you did. I think they are a sweet memory they can have for a long time.

I made all 6 of my Grands a birth announcement, giraffes and bears, used the same cross stitch pattern for all of them. I don't think two of them have theirs anymore, their Mom took them with her when she broke the marriage and left the kids with Dad.

    That is beautiful!
I was never able to complete a large complicated cross-stitch. Just little simple ones (like 4" or 5"). Great job!

Just lovely! The soft colors and shading - what a great job! And what a pretty name "Willow".

Gorgeous! So many hours of work on this one. Does the 'leg' of the R not show on the picture or is it missing? A friend of mine loved the alphabet cross-stitch samplers. Had hers totally finished and hanging in the guest room before her granddaughter noticed there was one letter totally missing. No correcting on that one!
