I'm sorry, AnngelAnne. I guess I didn't explain how to find my albums. Here's how you do it:
Click on my name (the names on the left as your read posts),
A window will pop up. Click on View Profile.
Scroll down and on the left you will see the albums. You click on the one to want to look at and then a whole line of pictures will pop up. You can click on each picture to see them more closely.
You ask how I get the flowers puffy. I just stitch about 1/2 to 3/4 around each petal and then cut out a piece of batting to fit that petal. I stuff it in using a toothpick. It doesn't take much.... just a single layer of batting makes it pop right up. Thanks for asking.

What kind words, AnngelAnne. Thank you. All the encouragement keeps me going on this one.
The fabric is by P&B textiles. It's called Suede, 100% cotton. I found it at a QS in Michigan's UP and bought what was left on the bolt, 9 1/2 yards. It looks like a tea stained piece of fabric...... perfect for this quilt. Originally I thought I'd use a dark color but I was afraid the flowers and baskets wouldn't show up.
Do try stuffing some of your applique. It gives the picture such a real look. And please post it when you finish....love to see others applique work on here.

So many people say they couldn't do anything like these blocks. But, really, you could. It takes practice but it's just needle and thread and little pieces of fabric using some simple techniques. Then you need a good movie to watch while you turn and stitch.
And thank you everyone for your encouraging words.
