If you haven't cut all your strips yet, try moving them a little to offset so the hexes won't all be the same. That way you'll get some different color combos.

No - you need to buy one of Maxine Rosenthal's books. OBW Encore has patterns for the cubes, and it's my favorite of the 3 books.
