I just started a quilt yesterday with this fabric plus a yellow (not shown).

I'm going to alternate 1/4 square triangles with decorative stitches on navy. I have 3 of the decorative stitches done so far. They will be cut into 4.

The green will be the outside border and the yellow the inside border. The calilily and decorative stitches will be the QST.

Who makes the fabric with the calla lillies on it? Callas are my daughter's FAV flower and I know she would love a quilt made with a fabric like that. I've never seen anything like it.

You're fabrics are gorgeous together, that's going to be a stunning quilt.

I got the fabric at Hancock. the calla lily just says Hancock on the selvage.

I'll post when I get some more done.

Going to be pretty!! I would never have thought to do decorative stitching like that, I usually do it around the binding, but I'll have to try it your way.

I love the materials and a bright yellow would set the blocks off so nicely. The stitching on the blue is going to make for lots of interest. Post pics as you progress please.

My first reaction was... Oooo Pretty! I just love those colors. But, I am a gardener. Those remind me of a deep forest.

I think your fabrics are so pretty...I love calla lillies. If you dont mind a suggestion....maybe some plain fabric n a brighter/neutral color between the blocks to break up the pattern and embroidery would show it off better. Your work is so pretty. I am fairly new so maybe someone else might have another idea.

    Margie :)
