Default My own designed quilt for my Native American friend “Birds of a feather”.

I use the term “designed” loosely because I really just found components from free patterns on the internet and put this together for my friend. She’s Cherokee and Choctaw and loves to decorate her home in that theme. She was absolutely blown away by the gift and couldn’t believe I matched her home so perfectly. I did mostly echo quilting on it and on the feathers I did SID because I didn’t want to detract from them. I’m really happy with how this turned out! 😊

Beautiful quilt! I bet your friend was blown away, not only by your choices of color to match her decor but the thoughtfulness you put into designing it. The feather blocks you did really set it off nicely.

That's really, really nice. Don't sell yourself short; you designed a fabulous quilt. Quilt patterns are just different arrangements of quilt blocks that have been around since quilting began. What a nice friend you are!

Oh, wow, that's gorgeous. Very rich and earthy, with vibrant pops of turquoise. The design is wonderful--well done! I'm sure you're really tickled to see it living and giving life in her home.

What a thoughtful and beautiful gift. It looks wonderful in her home. And you did design the quilt. All great artists borrow from other artists - composers and painters do it all the time.
