The young doctor who won it is from South America. He and his wife have not been in the US very long. He was THRILLED to win it, and recently stopped by to tell me that his mother visited over Christmas and loved this quilt as well!!

I am happy it is he who won it. He had a hard time getting started in our training program because of "culture shock". But I think he is feeling more at home here after 6 months, and maybe winning this quilt will help with that! It has softened my heart toward him, too, so maybe it's as much for me as for him that he won it!! The Lord has mysterious ways!! :-)
