I used a block design I saw in the Aust Patchwork & Quilting Magazine Dec 2006, it is one of my favourite blocks to use. It is so easy, you just add 2" strips to the novelty square (4-1/4") and then sew a 3-1/2" square to 2 diagonal corners. Here is a full size pic of that quilt.

They are beautiful. I'm glad some asked about the mug rugs and you were able to post a close up - I saw them in the bigger picture and was wondering about them too Thanks for sharing !
